You may have heard about CDBA and its general health benefits. Yet, you may not be aware of the specific positive effects this cannabinoid compound can actually provide. So, what is CBDA good for?

    A CBDA Overview

Back in 2013, scientists discovered that CBDA was much more potent than CBD when it came to treating certain conditions. The human body possesses serotonin, a hormone and chemical that acts as a neurotransmitter that delivers messages between the brain and body. Excess and low levels of serotonin create physical and chemical imbalances that lead to physical and mental conditions. CBDA serves as a binder, latching on to serotonin receptors, helping to ease symptoms for some conditions. These include:

    • Chemotherapy
    • Anxiety
    • Nausea
    • Seizures

While there are sure to be many more health issues that CBDA will prove to be beneficial for, scientific and medical exploration is still fairly new. However, there is a wealth of proof about CBDA being helpful for the above-mentioned conditions.

    Chemotherapy

When people receive chemotherapy for cancer and other types of illnesses, vomiting and nausea are two of the most common side affects. Studies have shown that giving chemo patients CDBA was more effective in reducing symptoms than CDB. It is thought that its maximized potency drives its effectiveness. Scientists are currently exploring CDBA’s full range of potential for mass availability to anyone receiving chemotherapy.

    Anxiety

Anxiety is the most common mental health disorder in the U.S. According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA), approximately 40 million adults in the U.S. suffer from it. Of that number, less than half seek treatment. Inadequate access to healthcare is only one of the reasons people do not often get the help they need.

As CBD became popular and legalized in some states, people rushed to try it out and a lot of that had to do with seeking a nonprescribed or more easily accessed method of treating anxiety. Now that CBDA is becoming a viable option, more medical professionals are advocating its benefits. In one study, CBDA was shown to reduce trauma-related generalized anxiety disorder symptoms to normal levels.

Other mental health disorders, such as depression, can also benefit from using CBDA. However, anxiety is much more prevalent.

    Nausea

CBDA is known to be good for treating all kinds of chronic nausea — even the types that have nothing to do with chemotherapy side effects. Digestive disorders, for example, are conditions where people have frequent nausea.

    Appetite Stimulant

CBDA is also helpful for stimulating the appetite by calming the digestive and nervous systems. By removing the physical barriers that can prevent people from eating, using CBDA can increase the chances of food consumption. People with certain eating disorders, such as anorexia nervosa, and HIV have found success with improved appetites with CBDA.

    Seizures

CBDA is also known to be an effective anticonvulsant, or good for helping reduce or stop seizures. There are a sizable number of health conditions where seizures are common. CBDA may be an excellent solution for people suffering from chronic or intermittent seizures.

So, if you’re still wondering if CBDA is good for you, there is a lot of research that proves it’s an effective way to address a lot of issues.
