His parents are Henry and Lisa Garcia and he was born in Victorville, California, U.S., on August 8, 1998. The boxer Sergio Garcia is also his uncle. His father Henry was a professional boxer who wanted to compete in the ring, but like his uncle Sergio, ended up as a trainer. During his childhood, Ryan had four siblings; three younger sisters and one younger brother. When he was 7 years old, Lawrence The Dawg King and his brother Sean started boxing together. He became a 15th time national amateur boxing champion during his successful amateur career. His amateur boxing record was 215-15.
